In addition, <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW210710926 BCX0\">Cividep India <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW210710926 BCX0\">carried out <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW210710926 BCX0\">a pilot <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW210710926 BCX0\">project <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW210710926 BCX0\">in <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW210710926 BCX0\">Bangalore<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW210710926 BCX0\">. The brands played a crucial role in nominating and motivating suppliers to <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW37301195 BCX0\">participate<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW37301195 BCX0\"> in the training trajectory. The importance of improved labour<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW37301195 BCX0\">\u2013<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW37301195 BCX0\">management dialogue and effective grievance mechanisms was discussed in detail with suppliers prior to the training sessions. Brands explained how improvements in these areas can <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW37301195 BCX0\">benefit<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW37301195 BCX0\"> both workers and the business. Dialogue sessions take place with senior and middle management to establish common ground, understand production and human resource challenges faced and agree on next steps. Workers\u2019 rights awareness sessions are then organised for all workers, followed by works committee elections and capacity building for committee members.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:276}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">Instead of fixed training modules, the programme comprises interactive training and facilitation. To build trust in the committees and increase their visibility, elected representatives visit production sites and departments to share information and hear workers\u2019 grievances.
